A CRITICAL REVIEW ON NANOEMULSION: ADVANTAGES, TECHNIQUES AND CHARACTERIZATION

Nanoemulsions have small droplet size and are kinetically stable colloidal systems. These the thermodynamically isotropic system in which two immiscible liquids mixed to form a single phase by means of appropriate surfactant cosurfactant. Nanoemulsion sizes fall typically range 20–200 nm shows narrow distribution. They enhanced functional properties comparison conventional emulsions. The composition structure nanoemulsions can be controlled for encapsulation effective delivery bioactive lipophilic compounds. potential application food industry nutraceuticals, coloring flavoring agents, antimicrobials. This review aims provide consolidated information regarding various formulation characterization techniques developed nanoemulsions. Various include determination entrapment efficiency, particle size, polydispersity index, zeta as well through differential scanning calorimetry, Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy transmission electron microscopy.
